ITA signs partnership with the Santa Casa hospital in São José dos Campos

The Technological Institute of Aeronautics signed, this Thursday (25), a partnership with the Hospital Santa Casa in São José dos Campos. The memorandum was signed by the dean of ITA, professor Anderson Ribeiro Correia, and the provider of Santa Casa, Mr. Ivã Molina.

The partnership aims to join efforts to encourage cooperation, technological and scientific exchange, as well as the development of techniques and technologies for the health area, through the Institute's Bioengineering Laboratory. This year, there is already a project in this segment. There are 3 2nd year students working, in the discipline of Physics, in a challenge launched by Santa Casa: to develop a motorized stretcher to transport patients, especially in more complex cases of displacement.

The Santa Casa provider highlighted the importance of these partnerships for the institution and added that “the partnership with ITA is a reason to be proud”. On the occasion, the dean also highlighted that, for ITA, partnerships are very valuable, in all spheres (national, international and local). “The partnership with the hospital is very important for our Bioengineering Laboratory, as we can effectively reach its research purpose”, he concluded.
